Employee Spotlight:Karla Medeiros

Karla joined the Healthy Communities Department as the Diabetes Educator in June 2018 with enthusiasm. Every interaction that she has with community members and team members alike is handled with care, compassion, and empathy. She is a natural teacher and caregiver with an impeccable work ethic. She is a true asset to this department and hospital. Karla is a staff nurse at our facility, but she is very flexible as she works on the medical unit and in the ED as a staff nurse providing compassionate care to our patients. Karla is also a great advocate/teacher for the patients in assuring they receive the education and knowledge they need to improve and sustain their health during their stay with us and once they are discharged. Karla is highly conscientious about the care she provides and we count ourselves blessed to have her.
